Description: Very old 1800s long wooden shipping box/crate/tray, jointed corners and mortised back with inset metal straps. Repurposed into a primitive shelf, though great to use for storage/display, collections. There was a hole cut out of it long ago, and a metal square put on back. Nice and thick wood. SIZE" Approx 32" long, 8 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" high. Large box to ship. CONDITION: STRONG, STURDY, AS FOUND CONDITION. Wood is old, dry, with expected age/use wear. Dents, dings, minor old chips, age cracks, scuffs etc. Crack on top part is about 10" long, but the metal straps hold it secure. Small white paint area near one corner.
