Description: 6 + Shield Hand Carved African Kenyan Solid Ebony Wood Statues Vintage This entire set was acquired at a downsizing auction in Northeast, Iowa, on a farm. The collector truly loved these and kept them in a china cabinet. Two of them have very light scratches to the noses, and one of them has a couple of scratches where his hand connects to his walking stick. That is also the tallest one at nearly 16 full inches tall. Generally they run between 13 and 15 inches tall, except for the tall man with the walking stick. I took close-ups of these scratches so you could see them for yourself. Each one is very detailed and has a lot of personality. I took pictures of all of them together facing forward, left, right and rear view, as well as individual ones of each face. It is impossible to exaggerate how beautiful these carved statues are! The plate/shield is approximately 4 inches across and it's made out of the same material as the statues. I see it as an eagle shield, but the art is up to the interpretation of the viewer. The entire packed box will weigh just over 10 lb, so I do have it as calculated shipping because it will depend how far you are from me here in Iowa.
