She wears a glittering gold fabric gown with floral lace sleeves, and matching ruffle at the hem. The skirt is lined with yellow satin. She is wearing a matching mob cap of ruffled lace. She is wearing a faux gold link necklace, which may have been added by her original owner. The doll's head, shoulders and hands are made of composition or porcelain. Her face is very striking, beautifully painted. Black brows, red ruby bow lips, and side-glancing mysterious dark eyes. She has a black painted beauty mark on her upper cheekbone.The doll's face and hands are in good vintage condition. Her lower body is made of as a stuffed pin cushion, encased in matching yellow satin. This unique doll stands 14" tall. She is a unique example of the era in which Victorian ladies used these doll pincushions to keep their straight pins at hand when they were busy at work with their sewing. Very faint spots in a few places on bottom of pin cushion base. Base measures 6.5 inches across.
