Description: Here is a nice 18" long that heavy wooden block plane that LOOKS to be one manufactured by Greenfield Tool Company, but it is not marked. Hence, we are listing with that disclosure. The iron is marked as manufactured by W. Butcher Cast Warranted Steel. The plane is still quite usable but it is perfect for a display or for a collection. It would make a fabulous gift for a collector. This item is likely well over 100 years old and the antiquity of it is shown in some splitting in the body of the item. The handle suffered a dog-ear event that is almost unnoticeable, but it only adds to the antique charm of the item. See photos. Total measurements are 18" long by 2.25" wide by 2" tall.
