Description: Wonderful!!!! Antique French red and white Bird Floral Toile. This pattern is so beautiful!! It's delightful in every way! This lovely panel is from France and dates to the 19th century. The color is stunningly beautiful in person! A true red on an off white, pale ivory ground. The lovely garden/insect design depicts a lavish floral garden with ferns, branches,from Oak acorn branches, Holly berry branches, blossoming blackberry branches, birds, bumble bees, lady bugs, butterfly, and even a darling little snail. Lightweight, finely woven with some natural characteristics within the weaveThe stunning design is printed on what feels like a cotton linen mix. This elongated panel measures: 11.25 inches wide approx. (including both fold line hems) 45 inches in length approx. There is one selvedge present. Both side edges have a fold line/pin prick sew line. Right edge has a more significant hemline fold. Condition: Good strength for sewing. Some small tiny specks in two little areas, some pale tea areas near an edge, a few small holes in a few areas , two near the very bottom and a few tiny ones within the main section. There are some pinholes noticed upon held to the light (formerly quilted panel) and a slit opening on one edge. Please see all the close ups for all mentioned above.
