Description: Coming from a fantastic New York City estate, we have a pleasure to offer you this classic beauty - a French Empire Style Bronze & Frosted Glass Chandelier. Good quality, French made in the second quarter of 20th century. Main body of the chandelier is an Empire style torch, a single light capped with a large flame form frosted glass shade. It tapers toward the bottom, ending in a large acorn finial. From the center torch come three arching arms, made in a form of a stem of a rose, which end in gorgeous frosted glass rose flowers that hide the bulb. Below each of the arms are arching scrolls that hold three garlands that connect them. The fixture hangs on three long rods in a form of the Italian "Rope" (no tassel), appearing as the tied knots on joints. Light fixture is in good overall condition, shows light signs of age / use / cleaning wear for an antique chandelier (please see photos). Size is great to fit in any room 34.5" height to the heat cap (ceiling), and 21" diameter at the widest point across the arms. This beauty queen will grace any magnificent home or office, traditional or mid-century modern setting!
