Description: This antique Ferrat which is handmade of copper originated in France and dates from the 19th century. A ferrat is a heavy duty copper pot which is used to measure water or grain. This highly decorative copper pot which has copper banding and strut decoration has rivet detailing, two riveted chunky side handles and a flat bottom. Today this would make a handsome piece for use in the home as a log basket, waste paper basket or as a garden planter. There are holes in the bottom for drainage. Materials: Copper.
