Description: Antique Foster Bros City Grocery Co Meat Cleaver 14 Inch 1180 Solid Steel Blade Other than being just a great piece of quality American cutlery, this particular knife has something special. It’s also a nice advertising piece. Notice the handle, it says City Grocery Co. Though I’m not sure exactly where this is/was, I do know there was a similar one in most every little town around the country. Maybe you remember this or maybe you just remember one like it, either way it’s a neat “country store” piece to have hanging around in your collection. Its seen its share of the butchers block, there’s scuffs, scratches and wear as well as a couple minor spots of surface rust but that’s not the life of it. It’s still nice and sound and good for a few more bbqs if you like.
