Description: This amazing crucifix is hand made and dates to the 1930's. It is called "Tramp Art", because there were huge amounts of homeless men wandering the nation. They would make things from whatever was handy, and give them to people in return for food and shelter. The cross is large, measuring 15" long. Tramp Art was primarily created between 1930 and 1939, until WWII pulled us out of the Great Depression. It is in remarkable condition, with just one tiny repair to a hand. It has it's original metal piece on the back for hanging on the wall. I don't know if I would hang it by that, as the piece is a bit fragile. the piece is called "chip carved", as the wood is chipped away to form the design. The Jesus and the INRI are both bisque porcelain. It won't disappoint! It is guaranteed antique and authentic. I have a 100% return policy, so buy with confidence.
