Description: If you love old fashion, you will love this catalog. It is 491 pages of gorgeous fashions. The company, National Coat & Suits was located in both New York and Kansas City. This was a NEW trend in shopping, allowing the company to ship everywhere. The New York location was very important, in that their fashions were advertised as cutting edge, and high quality. They were quite expensive for their day, for some of their offerings. Not all - they had fashions for everyone, but their expensive pieces were just to die for. Even today, the fashions are what I would consider "spectacular". I would gladly wear any of these pieces. There is lots of hand embroidery and hand beadwork, and intricate sewing techniques to give the outfits extra quality. There are categories for men, young women, and children. Its a marvelous look back, with lots of pages printed in color. If you wanted, any of the pages would be great framed. The cover would too, but it is a tiny bit faded, and has some scuffs, and tiny creases and the notations of prices. It shows its age, but I like that.
