Description: Beautiful early China porcelain doll in gorgeous velvet period costume! I’m unsure of the age. Her dress appears similar to those in the 1860s. It could have been made later, though. The doll shows no cracks, breaks, or signs of repair.I have not completely undressed her, though. I’m afraid to do that with a doll so old. I did notice 1 leg, where the fabric meets the top of the China leg, is starting to separate. Id keep an eye on it, because the sawdust will begin to leak if the separation increases. The dress is handstitched. One of the rosettes is loose (easy fix). The handbag is so cute! I think that’s a feather at the bottom! Some running to the hair paint. I’m no expert in China head dolls and have done my best to describe. Please look at all photos closely and carefully and do not hesitate to ask questions. She is 12 inches tall.
