Description: This Awesome Antique, Hand Carved Soapstone ~ Chinese Seal or Chop~ was once a part of a Set of Seals Depicting the 12 Chinese Zodiac Animals ~ This Great Seal was Intricately Carved from a Single Piece of Soapstone with the Natural Colors of Earthtone Browns, Greens and Muted Reds ~ Rectangular in Shape & Cool to the Touch ~ This Stamp measures 3" tall, 2" wide and 1-1/4" thick ~ it weighs 250 grams ~ 8.8 ounces This Great ~ SNAKE ~ Seal has a Calligraphy Inscription with an Encircled Seal on the Front ~ All four sides of the Stamp displays a Unique Hand Etched Scene (In the complete set each piece placed side by side depicted one large scene ~ a different scene for each face) If you are a collector this would be a great piece of a larger set of 12. The Base of this Beautifully Carved Stamp has a Unknown Message in Calligraphy ~ A Red Powdery Residue remains within the grooves of the carving. Please Examine ALL Pictures Carefully and Consider Them an Important Part of the Description. There is no damage to the piece. But it is a very old antique.
