Description: Antique bronze and crystal handled dish ( Bowl ). France, circa 1930. ( or earlier ). This is a PRETTY and ANTIQUE gilt bronze basket ( handled dish , empty pocket ), in the Empire style and taste. A thick cut round crystal, mounted with gilt bronze ormolu, decorated in the Empire style. Bronze handle stamped on verso France ( see photo ). I didn’t detect any signature or stamp on the crystal, but it is definitely Baccarat. Can also be used as a desk item. Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work. Dimensions : Maximum length : 8 inches ( 20 cm ) Maximum height : 2.5 inches ( 6.5 cm ) Weight : 10.7 oz ( 304 grams ) The heavy weight, related to the size, reflects the thickness of the bronze and crystal, authenticity of the piece. Condition report : No chips, cracks or any damage to the crystal. Minor scratches on the crystal, consistent with age and use ( see last photo ). Bronze well preserved. Gilding well preserved, with minor discoloration. VERY GOOD CONDITION
