Description: ~ Here is a very nice antique Poem/verse book entitled - HEART THROBS The Old ScrapBook - 1905 ~Condition: Very nice antique condition. Covers and outside binding have very little shelf wear, with the most wear, but still minimally, on the edges. Pages have probably yellowed over the years, but they are very clean and generally in excellent condition. There are some areas throughout where the glue has separated slightly along the binding, but the pages all remain firmly bound. There is a penciled (price?) on the inside back cover as well as an inked inscription on the inside front cover. Interestingly, there is a commencement program within the pages that indicate by the inscription, that this book was a gift given on the same day as graduation (May 19, 1914). Note - Just a few of the more well known folks who authored some of the verses within the book: Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain, Alfred Tennyson, Henry Longfellow, Walt Whitman, Francis Scott Key....and others.
