Description: Up for sale is an Antique Bergen Nautik Brass Ships Binnacle Compass Maritime w/Oil Lamps - Norway!!! This is a very unique ship's binnacle compass made by Bergen Nautik. It is housed in a brass enclosure with two oil lamps on the side which would shine light onto the compass for navigating at night. The two oil lamps housed inside are not identical but both fit well to the piece. There is some signs of use and wear throughout such as some dings or dents here and there. The compass is functional but could use some balancing as it tends to list a little to one side but generally points in the correct direction. This is a very collectible piece. This piece is very unique for sure, there is also a plaque on the front that has a logo of "EIWA" on it and a Japanese inscription. IF you're familiar with what it says, please let me know, I've included a photo of it. The piece measures in at approximately 11" tall, 11" wide, and 8" deep.
