Description: This is a fantastic Vintage Art Deco period German 8-day Mantel Clock, made in Wurttemberg c1925. As a clock it is in working order, keeps pretty good time and comes with a key for winding up. It also has a striking and Westminster / Whittington Chime mechanism but unfortunately these don’t work correctly with the chimes sounding correctly sometimes and on occasions not, so would require attention if you wanted it to chime correctly all of the time. However, there is a lever to the front which turns the chimes off, so it currently on that setting. The wooden case is in good condition but does exhibit some age-related wear, which includes some surface marks. The glass to the chapter ring door is intact with no chips, cracks or restoration. It measures approximately 37cm wide, 24cm high and 17cm deep. Please note: There are reflections shining onto the item in the photos from the background lighting used. Please take a look at the photos to evaluate the condition for yourself as they form part of the description and if you wish to ask us anything about the item then please do not hesitate to contact us.
