Description: Antique 5 Hook Cast Iron & Oak Wood Wall Coat Hat Rack RR Home Office Cabin Cafe Offered for your consideration is this Antique 5 Hook Cast Iron & Solid Oak Wood Wall Mount Hat & Coat Rack In Original Finish. This style was used in the late 1800's in the country schools, but they were also used in businesses & private homes, & also used in railroad depots. They are still considered a handy usable item in today's collectible society. It carries proper beveled & tapered edges. Measures 31" long by 7-3/4" high & it stands out from the wall approx 6". The iron rods run through the cast iron decorative brackets & they are all originals. Each hook bracket is properly mortised into the back. There are 2 small holes drilled into this piece that are spaced 14-1/4" apart. Appears it was screwed to the wall here as well for extra stability. The top eyelets are spaced at 24-3/4" apart at center. These eyelets can easily be spaced differently to hit the necessary studding's if need be.
