Description: Lovely early French cotton from about the 1870's. Beautiful larger scale roses cartouche and medallion pattern done in a blushy pink & soft red on a black ground. Excellent for pillow elements, small light upholstery, lamp shades and an abundance of period projects. Also a beautiful piece for framing or period band boxes and small projects. Condition is strong, Hues are overall a bit softened. I noted a few very small fiber breaks which are inherent of early black dyes, more visible when held to the light than to the eye. I have not laundered this though appears clean & well maintained overall. Measures 22 inches wide by 25 inches long. I have one length remaining. Many thanks!
