Description: ***Online estate sale auction find*** I had this weathervane appraised to find out more than just the value. The information below is from a certified appraiser with a Ph.D. in Antiques Appraisal: "American, late 19th century, Weathervane with single coachman, good condition with area of damage (arm), orbs, running horse, NSEW ordinal directionals, constructed copper/metal, 48 inches with pole." I have had the arm restored/repaired by a reputable company in my area. In addition they restored/repaired some other areas on the weathervane that were going to be needed to be done eventually to help hold it's integrity and value. AREAS OF REPAIR: *Both arms restored (a rod was inserted and fitted/soldered to better hold the coachmen's arms/shoulders in place more permanently). *Both wheels were re-soldered in place *Horses back hoof was re-soldered to hold it in place.
