Description: This is a great antique 19th century 21 piece Rauenstein "Blue Bird" pattern tea set by Gotthelf Greiner of Rauenstein Castle, Thuringia (Germany), depicting underglaze blue birds and flowers, and overglaze painted red leaves. The set consists of 10 small teacups and 11 saucers and is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or hairlines. Some surface wear, light enamel loss commensurate with age.
