Description: I'm not sure what the Pitcher is made of but it's very ornate. The Pitcher is Numbered with the date on the bottom. There is a ding on the spout and a ding on the bottom lip. I think this is for water, but once again I really don't know. It has a heavy flapper on the inside of the spout, possibly to keep bugs out or to insulate, no idea. When this was purchased new it had to have cost half a fortune one would think. At one time I seen one very similar that was valued at 1700.00 but I believe it was perfect and a museum value. This is as always as found and I haven't tried to clean it. Looks kinda like pewter but possibly silver plate or pot metal. It is heavy for sure.
