Description: Here is a stunning rare very early vintage original autographed 5" by 7" pin up photo of actress and burlesque star Ann Corio, from her prime in the 1940s. Known for Swamp Woman, Calls of The Jungle, Sarong Girl. The beautiful Ann Corio appeared in a less than a handful of poverty row exotic films, but her real stardom was on the stage, over a period of twenty years. She was a hugely popular striptease artist, best known for her work at Minsky's Burlesk Theater in New York. In 1940, she was making around $1,000 a week for her work, plus a contractual 25% intake of house receipts. Corio suggested once that the art of the striptease should be rechristened "deciduous kinesthetics." Minor corner and edge wear, minor fading, minor waviness (two spots are defects in the image). Rare. Will ship worldwide. I always combine shipping on multiple orders.
