The sky, so vivid blue and complimentary, is the only remnant that stands against the strength of the color. I previously painted this scene on location in Endo Valley. The sensory overload of color and movement were almost overwhelming. There are some things that are impossible to capture on canvas. My goal with this painting was to trigger that memory for me and, hopefully, for the viewers.
