Description: Heirloom Ladies American Waltham Pocket Watch. It is marked 14K, and is a solid gold double hunter case with original box and chain with slide. The chain is either rolled gold or gold filled, and is marked HFB, for the H.F. Barrows Company that was founded in 1854 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, by Henry Francis Barrows, and was widely known for its gold chains. The watch was made in 1891, Model 1889, Grade J, Size 6, 7 Jewels. Serial # 4881631. The watch is not running and is missing the crystal. It weighs a total of 57.7g, and the chain weighs 7.5g and is 48" long, meant to be worn doubled. Please examine the photos as I am not a watch expert, and if you ask me questions I will do my best to answer them. I will provide the provenance of this watch, if desired, to the purchaser as well.
