Description: It is becoming difficult to find the headboards from the Dania line for some reason these days. This is a Mid-Century Modern American of Martinsville’s Dania line model #4004-14 “Bar Bed” headboard with built-in nightstands. Merton Gershun designed this well known line. The headboard is walnut veneer this walnut bed headboard and features a pair of sleek built-in nightstands, each with a small drawer. The black table-top offers ample room for things stored close at hand such as cell phones, books, etc. I believe the bed was originally designed to be used with a full size mattress but other sellers have it listed as either Queen or full. See the last photo (Dania catalog page) that shows it with a mattress to visualize it in your space. Each side of the bed has the original twist-in tapered legs that can be used to stabilize the headboard. It can also be mounted to a wall or frame. In fact, you can unscrew the legs and give it the floating appearance. The head board comes as pictured. Side rails, slats or metal frame are NOT included.
