Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a gorgeous American Brilliant Period cut glass deep bowl by Pitkin & Brooks in the HEART & HOBSTAR pattern designed in 1907. The bowl features a pattern of "cane" cut hearts with cut fans above and down each side alternating with two notch-cut columns that surround the deep sides of the bowl. The base is cut with a large hobstar with rosette center The glass has a stunning brilliance which is found only in cut glass from this period. Measures 4" high and 8" in diameter. Weighs 3.6 pounds. The bowl is in excellent Estate condition with no major flaws or repairs. There is a thin flake on one of the saw-tooth points on the rim that is hard to spot on initial inspection (see photos). There are a couple of very small no-harm nicks also found on the top rim and possibly within the design, however, the bowl is in very good condition for glass with this age and none of the small flaws are immediately obvious and the bowl displays beautifully.
