Description: Good day, For sale is a used 5995WX Threadripper from a retired system. It is functional, but has a chronic issue. Please read below and only buy at your own risk and acknowledgement!! --- This CPU has an issue with what I expect to be the PCI Express controller. In a Windows OS, the system log will usually record a "WHEA recoverable error" several times a second. When under load (compilation, prime number crunching...) the rate of occurrence is higher. Once in a while.... an application will anomalously crash or the system will completely hang. Sometimes the system will run for several days on end without logging an error! I have reproduced this issue in two different WRX80 motherboards (Asus WRX80E Sage SE WiFi and an Asrock WRX80D2-2T), so I assure you it is the CPU that has the problem - not the motherboard. This CPU has proven to be too unreliable for my business environment, and thusly the system was scrapped for its other still-good parts and spares for my other similar 5995WX workhorse systems. This CPU does not have any physical damage. Comes with the orange loading tool. Has some minor smears of thermal paste on it. I am the original owner. It is no longer eligible for RMA by AMD. --- No returns on this item. Know what you are buying!
