You will find online the record of this coat of arms and paintings of the man himself. The ground is wool and the embroidery uses hemp, wool and silk in places. The fabrics are applied and accentuated using cording! ~ it's amazing. MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures approximately 102 inches long by 70 inches wide ~ CONDITION : This textile is in fabulous condition for its age, however it is not without signs of time and use. There are many holes on the wool ground dotted here and there. It's important to use the zoom feature on the photographs so you can see the exact condition. For an early 18th century textile, it's in fabulous condition, but it is not without flaws. The rod on the bottom has escaped the hem so will need repair, PLEASE SEE THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE RODS in the listing , it's very important .
