The included installation user guide provides details about making adjustments to support excess of 8 pounds of total weight. Accessories Click here for accessories Load specifications The maximum load of the ALZO DJ Light mounting bar is 40 pounds assuming a well distributed load and proper secure attachment of the suspended ceiling T-Bar frame to the true ceiling. For example, the bar will support 4 - 10 pound lights assuming they are evenly distributed along the bar. If the lights are located near the bar ceiling mount clips, then the weight of the light could be as high as 20 pounds assuming the secure attachment of the bar support to the true ceiling. When exceeding 8 pounds of total supported weight, one must add additional support wires from the suspended ceiling T-Bar frame, near the mounting scissor clips, to the true ceiling.
