Those versions are considered lost. Here, Paul Wegener (“The Golem”) plays the role of Professor Brinken who combines the genes of a murder with those of a prostitute and create the world’s first test-tube baby. The result is a beautiful woman who is simply incapable of feeling any real emotion. She sets out in her adulthood to seduce and destroy every male who crosses her path.Remade again in 1930 with Brigitte Helm reprising the same role, and again in 1952 with Hildegard Knef.
