Description: Ava Dering of Alfredo’s Wife Finally Retiring and Closing Production of her Clothing In the early sixties Alfredo’s Wife, Ava Dering, (her husband was Alfredo), began receiving invitations from ladies who had seen her designs while traveling through historic Jerome, Arizona. She was asked to show her distinctive yet elegant casual clothing in homes from LaJolla, California to Daufuski Island, South Carolina. Her tops , bottoms, dresses and caftans were once draped over President Harry Truman’s piano. From the beginning, the whimsical, yet elegant clothes have been made of natural fabrics (mostly cotton) and artfully adorned with sumptuous appliqués (many with jewel and stud embellishments). After 50+ years of creating her unique art fashions, Ava has closed Alfredo’s Wife. Here at Wright Premiere Sales we are in the process of selling the last of her NEW creations.
