Description: Victorian sterling silver cream / milk jug. The body with repouss hand chased reeded decoration. Scroll handle with acanthus leaf motifs. Raised on an oval stepped base. Hallmarked; London 1899 ( the marks are slightly rubbed but still legible ) Maker's mark for ; William Hutton & Sons Ltd. Dimensions: Height ; 85 mm Widest point including the handle; 133 mm Handle; 70 mm in length Base; 58 x 44 mm Net weight of the silver ; 178.7 grams Small bruise on the handle. A few minor surface marks . Some "fire" showing around the chased decoration. ( caused by the Annealing , heat treatment process used in it's construction) Otherwise in good condition. No damage, holes or repairs. Free from any engraved presentation inscriptions or monograms. Clean and ready for use. It does not leak.
