A "Used" MacGregor Number 186, 48 Degree Loft Pitching Wedge!

Description: A "Used" MacGregor 186, 48 Degree Loft Pitching Wedge! As usual the Internet had no information on this club, but it might be fairly rare as I only found one of the for sale on eBay. I have no idea what the nomenclature M186 means. Maybe MacGregor did like Wilson did and named it the M186 because it was item 186 in the Macgregor catalog! Who knows? I am almost certain that this wedge did not come in any set of MacGregor irons. The Heavy muscle back and fairly thick Sole makes me believe that thiis a fairly early manufactured club, and was a Specialty Wedge. A kind of a Get Out Of Jail club, even though that type of club was not called by that name back then. At any7 rate, this Club has seen it's fair share of Get Out Of Jail use. The Club Head is very clean and the chrome finish is still very shiny. There are very few nicks and dings, and those are on the leading edge of the Club Face. The Club Face and the Sole have very light scuffing. The Shaft has no sticker but with the small number of steps, I'm guessing this is a Regular Flex. Considering that this club wqs probably made in the 1950's or 60s, that ought to tell you how old the grip is. It might get some life if it was scrubbed a few tiomes with saddle soap, but as hard as the rubber is, might not. There is a small spit at the bottom of the grip, so probably it needs replacement.
