Description: Up for sale is a copy of "A Summer in Brittany" by Adolphus Trollope. Frances Trollope editor. Book was published in 1840 by Henry Colburn in London. A first edition. Published in two volumes. Both volumes present as are the colored front pieces of the two books. Books are a good news bad news. On the down side, the boards are present but detached and spines gone. Scuffing and some light staining to the boards. On the plus side interiors are in generally nice shape with some wear and browning particularly to the front and rear pages closest to the boards. A candidate for rebinding if one was so inclined. A rare piece. Previous owner sticker from Evermay which is a famous estate in Georgetown.
