Description: A FINE Looking ANTIQUE Primitive ADJUSTABLE 2-3/4" SPOKE SHAVE Marked SHEFFIELD Its marked Sheffield on the wood in 2 places. The depth of shave is crudely adjusted by raising/lowering the blade. The overall length is about 10-1/2 inches long, the blade measures 4 inches across, 3/8 inches wide, the actual cutting area is about 2-7/8 inches wide. It is adjusted by tapping the spiked blade ends. The blade is still pretty sharp. The light weight handles are probably beechwood. This tool is in amazing condition and could be used today, a nice and clean looking tool with a nice feel and lovely patina. Please see all photos provided. Thanks for looking !!!
