Rebacked with original boards and endpapers, original spine laid on. Repairs to hinges. Boards rubbed with numerous scuffs and scrapes, a couple of small areas of surface damage to back, and some wear to edges and corners, but sound. First and last few pages, inc. frontispiece, foxed and browned. Rear fep has an area of loss. Interior slightly age-toned with occasional signs of handling, but overall good, clean and tidy. Small ownership inscription in ink dated 1889 to top of title page.
