Description: Tailor-made military bowling shirt. Custom made in Japan in the 1950s/1960s. Made in the #1 Gate Yokota region of Japan. Made for a military soldier Walter Kortman presumably of Manning Iowa. Fabric feels like a wool rayon blend possibly, very substantial. Color is the deepest, most saturated dark blue. Embroidered patches. Powder blue accenting along pocket edges and sleeves. Selvedge detail along inner edges of placket and sleeves. Action panels in back for movement (also powder blue). Loop collar top closure. Excellent condition. Almost no visible wear or flaws. Tiny bit of fraying to the upper edge of back patch. Arm patch is not well stitched on. I think it was added later though so could be removed or reinforced if you wish to leave it on there. Please see all photos and don’t hesitate to ask questions before purchase as all sales are final. No size tag. Fits like a M to S/M. Measurements: Chest (pit to pit) - 21.5” Length (base of collar [seam] to bottom down center back) - 28.75” Shoulders (seam to seam) - 17.75”
