It is vacuum-kiln dried to an average of 6-10% moisture content. THESE DOWELS MAY BE SLIGHTLY OBLONG DUE TO DRYING PROCESS!! These dowels are selected from a large inventory of wood and are chosen specifically for their curly, figured quality. Grade #1 dowels will only be available in this listing due to the usable length of the dowel (22"). Grade #1 will be medium to highly-figured throughout the dowel and will be without defects or chips.
