Description: My 3Rensho was purchased in October 2006 under the Williamsburg Bridge. It was painted at Wheelfine Imports in New Jersey that November. Dupont Imron was used and clear coated several times. By standards, the durable paint is admittedly thick and obscures the NJS frame in the BB stamp. The attention to detail included using original factory produced decals imported from Japan by Yellow Jersey. We bought the last complete sets of decals. They were meticulously positioned, clear coated and are near free of nicks and blemishes. For 12 years, I trained on the street from Halloween to Easter gearing at 48x18. In my best racing season, it was 49x16. The matching #279 fork was stored except on rare trips to 4 velodromes. It was just too stiff for the road. There is a full clean 1 inch of threading for the stack. I had a carbon fork with a front brake for training. The stamp is 97 09 279. It is 49cm, likely the smallest they made. I have the 1997 production shop calendar. It has a fair number of small nicks. Some moisture remained under the top tube protector (5 Gold) during storage and the result is shown. A younger person with patience and TLC skills can touch this up in a day. The BB was swapped out in 2011 with a new Sugino 75 NJS 1.37x24T. Takes a 27.0 seat post. When this frameset is out of my possession, I will be closer to a balanced life in retirement. Details in my memoir. Show it off and start your own stories. Hanging in my Atlanta basement. Will box and ship domestic only using Bikeflights at my expense.
