This is a newly released product produced by modify3dprinters.com This is the base adapter to permit the hotend to be easily removed and relocated which permits use of the stock original x-axis plate to mount other tool adapters with no wiring, disassembly or firmware changes.The adapter is designed to provide the 3D printing beginner with multiple "light duty" CNC style tool options for the Ender 3 series of printers (Ender 3, Ender 3pro, CR10s and most clones).Other available tool adapters from modify3dprinters.com are a Creality laser adapter, a light duty powered rotary CNC spindle adapter, a Flex cable for remote rotary Grinder adapter, a vinyl cutter adapter and a pen-plotter adapter. The "Swappable" Hotend adapter provides "light duty multiple CNC tool options" for most Ender 3's, CR10's and clones.The Adapter has a fixed mounting location using existing hardware with a simple lever/clamp attachment that provides quick removal and attachment. "Swappable" Adapters are available for Creality compatible components such as: Hotend (standard and all metal), Creality Laser, Vinyl Cutter, Pen Plotter, Small CNC Spindle (jewelers grinder) and Flex-cable for a remote rotary tool. Features:The modification is a simple remounting of the Hotend component.The adapter repositions the Hotend approx. 9mm forward on the y-axis.All components are reused except hotend screws (new longer screws provided).No disassembly or modifications are required for the x-axis gantry or mounting plate.Removal of the Bowden tube is not required.No wiring changes are required.No firmware change is required.No changes to the z-axis limit switch. (Basic releveling the bed is necessary)The adapter is 3D printed using PETG filament. The "Swappable" Hotend adapter clamps to the existing x-axis hotend mounting plate and is removable using a simple lever. The adapter plate duplicates the x-axis hotend mounting plate shape and hole patterns. All necessary mountings holes for the housing and auto bed leveling are duplicated for the Ender 3, Ender 3 Pro, Ender 3 V2, most CR10's and Creality clones (with 40mm center distance between the two M5 button head bolts mounting the two top wheels) Installation:Turn off the power.Remove the Hotend and fan housing with fans.Remove the hotend from the x-axis gantry mounting plate.Install the hotend to the "Swappable" adapter plate using the two M3 longer screws.Assemble the fan housing to the adapter using the matching holes in the adapter. Use the existing M3 screws that will cut their own threads as you tighten them. Align the screws straight and do not over tighten the screws they can strip the treads easily.Secure the metal clip on the right side of the adapter behind the x-axis plate and align the holes on the back of adapter with the bolt heads on the existing x-axis mounting plate.Press the adapter flat against the x-axis plate aligning the second adapter hole with the second bolt head (lever must be raised to the 90 degree position for the metal clip to clear the side of the metal mounting plate.Lower the lever making sure the steel clip is secured behind the existing x-axis metal plate.Comments:The "Swappable" Adapter is developed for the beginner hobbyist and maker that has the basic knowledge of assembling their first printer. No technical requirements other than bed leveling necessary.
