Description: Penn Antique Restoration 32"x80" Antique Wooden Interior Door w/6 Raised Panels Handsome, vintage, door salvaged from a home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and is stained on both sides. It has 6 raised panels on both sides. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. The door has an unusual, panel arrangement of 2 small panels at the top, and 4 long panels below. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store) * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Quirks & Considerations: The door has 2 thin (1/16" - 1/8") gaps (see last photo). This is not a serious issue and the door could still be installed and used for decades without the gaps widening. However, we could close the gaps using clamps and reinforce/secure the corner using modern glue and some dowels (wooden joints)--message us for a quote. The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4" at some point, most likely to compensate for the home's settling foundation or a warped floor. We could cut it to an even 79 5/8", cut it narrower and/or shorter, or even build it up to make it bigger--message us for a quote. Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in excellent condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left or away from the room towards the right. We could change the swing of the door---message us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Dimensions: 31 3/4" x 79 5/8" - 79 7/8" x 1 3/8" Too tall, short, wide or narrow? We could increase or decrease the height and/or width--email us for a quote.
