Description: Penn Antique Restoration 30"x77" Antique Arts & Crafts Style Interior Doors w/2 Panels Elegant, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. It's made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and is completely painted white. It has a traditional, Arts & Crafts style design with 2 recessed (flat) panels on both sides. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Quirks & Considerations: The width of Door#1 and the height of Door#3 were unevenly cut by 1/4" - 3/8" most likely to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut either to an even height/width, cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller--email us for a quote. Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in excellent structural condition. It has the typical nicks, scrapes, and scratches, which will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks." There are no breaks, cracks, rot, warp, or any serious issues. The door is very well-built and are ready for another lifetime of service. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photo in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote. Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the left, or away from the room towards the right. We could change the swing--email us for a quote. Modification: Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
