Description: Penn Antique Restoration Penn Antique Restoration 30"x76"Antique Solid Heartpine Wood Interior Door w/ 2 Panels * Shipping prices to the Northeastern states may be significantly lower than the flat rate price we have to ship to all parts of the country. Read the "Shipping" section below for more information. Charming, antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. The door is made of solid heartpine and is stained on both sides. The door has 2 recessed (flat) panels on both sides. Please note that heartpine is the non-living, core of a pine tree, and not the soft, outer, living sap-wood. Since it takes 30 years for a pine tree just to develop just 1” of heart stock it is rarer, harder, more durable, more insect & rot resistant, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and is much more valuable than the cheap, pine lumber that is commonly found at most hardware stores. Hardware: No hardware included, however, we have a good selection of period hardware in our online store, and tons more in our physical store. * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Uneven Height: The door's height was unevenly cut by 3/8". The cuts were most likely made to compensate for a settling foundation or an old warped floor. We could cut the door to an even height/width cut it shorter or narrower, and we could also add wood to it to make it taller or wider to fit your opening--message us for a quote. Condition: Considering the door is 80 - 100 years old, it is strong, sturdy and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken/cracked joints or any other serious issues. Otherwise, most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the right, or away from a room towards the left. We can modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the height or width, replace wooden panels with glass, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.Dimensions: 30" x 75 5/8" - 76" x 1 3/8"Too tall, short, wide or narrow? We could increase or decrease the height and/or width--email us for a quote. Shipping: Northeastern VA, MD, DC, DE, PA, NJ, NY, & New England: We deliver to these states every 2 - 3 weeks .
