Aunt, Cousin This is a nice selection of FAMILY GREETINGS postcards that would have been sent out for Best Wishes and love remembrance. These are ANTIQUE postcards from the early 1900's. This lot has a postcard to be sent to one's AUNT, COUSIN, and one is more general and says "Loved Ones At Home". These are EMBOSSED postcards and two have GOLD TRIM as well as GLITTER in the design. One is AIR BRUSHED with bright blue color. Note, this one has creases. They are nicely drawn, and have good detail, which makes them pleasing to look at. They are colorful and attractive. This is a nice mixture for a collector. Back in the early 1900's, postcards were used to send love and remembrance to people. Hallmark Cards was not yet established until the 1910's, so postcards were used to send best wishes rather than cards inside envelopes. These have now become collector items. These are good postcards to add to a collection. They would appeal to collectors because they capture the style used back in the early 1900s, and provide a "glimpse of life" back then. They are from different publishers. Overall, a nice selection of antique Family Greetings postcards at a reasonable price. The postcards are UNPOSTED (2) and Posted. The posted one has a cancel of 1923, but it was published in the 1908 era. These postcards would have been "Printed in Germany" during the Golden Age of Postcards (1908-1915). They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. Regarding condition, please note that we try to remove damaged postcards from our lots, and only sell those postcards that are worth having in a collection. However, because of their age (over 100 years old!), please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear on the postcards. We do not want you to be disappointed.
