Description: From a local estate auction: three very antique children's books. All three were published by McLoughlin Brothers in New York during the period 1875 to about 1900. They are all soft covers, and they are printed with vivid colored illustrations. They are: - c1875 Mother Goose's Melodies, measures 5.75" high by 4.5" wide; missing back cover, ties visible at back, black and white illustrations inside;- undated Mother Goose's Chimes, probably pre-1900, 7" high by 5.25" wide, missing back cover with ties visible at back, black and white illustrations inside;- Mother's Series. Picture Fables, probably pre-1900, 6" high by 4.75" wide, intact but much shorter than above, full color illustrations The photos go in order, showing each book in turn. These are in good antique condition. All have bumped corners, show wear, and have been used and loved, in addition to the issues noted above. They are still remarkable survivors with bright colors and fascinating detail. Please write in an ask if I have omitted any information.
