Silica gel has a strong affinity for water vapor and is commonly used as a desiccant in a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. These beads are impregnated with a color changing moisture indicator. When dry, the beads are a deep blue. Saturated beads become light pink. The pail is constructed of high strength HDPE and includes a handle. The lid has a rubber gasket for superior long term storage and provides an excellent vapor barrier. Typical Applications Compressed Air and Gas Dryers Laboratories Museums Tank Breathers Moisture Adsorbent in Packaging Blue silica gel contains cobalt chloride and should not be used in applications where human exposure is a concern.
