Handsome, antique, interior doors salvaged from an old, home in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The doors are made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and are stained on both sides. They have 1 recessed (flat) panel on both sides. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in excellent structural condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks ". Swing: Door#1 is set up to swing into a room towards the left, or away from the room towards the right. Door#2 swings in the opposite direction. We could change the swing of either door--message us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the heights or widths, replace the panels with glass, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
