Description: Artist: unknown Artwork Size: 24” x 20” Medium: (guessing) acrylic on gesso on fabric on board I mostly sell vintage and antique pieces, but this one caught my eye. It’s too bad it’s not signed, because the way they made it is quite unique. The 20x24 stretcher bars on the back look homemade. On top of the stretcher bars is a board, and then they stretched fabric (not regular canvas) around it and stapled it to the stretcher bars. They then put a lot of white gesso on top, with some areas thicker than others, and with many lines in it to create texture. On top of that is where they painted and possibly used crayon. I think the subject is supposed to be a woman in a red dress, but the face also kind of looks like a man. There is one small part in the top right where the blue color came off, and some sporadic chips in the paint, usually around the edges that would be covered by a frame.
