Description: 2011 First Strike 1/10 oz (50 Yuan) Gold Chinese Panda PCGS MS 70 First introduced in 1982, the Chinese Panda gold bullion coin has been minted yearly ever since with gold mined within China. Several mints produce the Gold Panda, but unlike coins minted in the U.S. there are no visible signs to identify where a particular coin came from. The Panda is China’s official gold bullion coin. The obverse features the front of the Temple of Heaven, one of China's oldest Taoist temples located in Beijing. Across the top, the encryption reads "Zhonghua Renmin Gongheguo," which means "the People's Republic of China." The year of issue is on the bottom of the coin. The design has been the same since the coin's introduction. The reverse design changes from year to year, except 2001 and 2002. Each year the design features a different panda. This one features a panda cub nuzzling it's mother with a bamboo forest in the background. A beautiful coin for the coin or bullion collector.
