Description: For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked, New in the Box 2005 Montegrappa Eternal Bird Limited Edition 365 of 1912 Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K Medium nib. The cap and barrel are made from celluloid with a highly detailed sterling silver overlay. This fountain pen is in Mint, Never Inked Condition - considered New Old Stock with all the original boxes and documentation/literature. On the tenth anniversary of the Limited Edition dedicated to the Dragon, Montegrappa is creating a valuable duo of oriental mythology by giving the Dragon its traditional companion, the Eternal Bird. Montegrappa has commissioned the same artist who gave life to the Dragon to create the sculpture of the Eternal Bird, reproduced on the pen body with the sophisticated technique of die-casting. The Montegrappa Eternal Bird Fountain Pen was first introduced in 2005. This limited-edition pen, inspired by the mythical phoenix, was crafted to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Montegrappa's Dragon series. The pen features a sterling silver overlay on a marbled red resin barrel, with intricate die-cast sculptures and ruby eyes representing the phoenix. The Montegrappa Eternal Bird features a meticulously engraved barrel and cap, showcasing a breathtaking depiction of a mythical bird in flight, symbolizing freedom and eternity. Crafted from sterling silver and complemented by an 18k gold nib. This Fountain Pen is in perfect condition - it has never been inked. The cap and barrel have an extremely detailed Sterling Silver overlay that is in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, scratches, dings, dents, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. In the section, when the barrel is unscrewed, one will see the "Montegrappa" company name on the silver ring. The cap and barrel are both stamped with 925 which is the sterling silver mark. The Eternal Bird's eyes on the cap and barrel display Ruby eyes. The bottom of the barrel is marked with the limited edition number 365/1912. This fountain pen measures 5 5/8" inches capped and 7" inches posted. The pen weighs 3.38 ounces. The fountain pen uses a piston filling system. I have tested the piston filler with water and it works as it is designed. The 18K Gold nib is designated "MEDIUM" and is marked with 18K/750, MONTEGRAPPA on the nib. The iridium tipping measures .80mm when measuring with digital calipers, which falls into the range of Medium the nib is designated. This fountain pen has never been inked and I wanted to leave it that way for the next collector. This fountain pen comes in the original Montegrappa Eternal Bird factory boxes and Literature/Documentation/Limited Edition booklets.
